The Pink Patch Review – Clinical Trials, Side Effects and a Warning

Weight-loss patches are not a new product to the diet market. They have been around for several years in many forms from the Slim Diet Patch to the Pink Patch and Slim Form Patch.

Just like with any supplement or weight loss product claiming to be the next wonder drug for causing fast and side effect free weight loss, some live up to those claims, and others fail.

We set out to investigate the Pink Patch to see if it lives up to bold claims made by the manufacturer.

What is the Pink Patch?

Pink Patch productThe Pink Patch is a small square-shaped patch containing a cocktail of ingredients that is applied to the skin.  It offers a weight loss of 1-3 lbs a week and is targetted towards young women with its hot pink color and slogans such as “No more worries about the freshman 15”.

At first glance The Pink Patch looks impressive, it offers a healthy rate of weight loss and doesn't seem to contain any harmful ingredients.

So we investigated further and were shocked to see storied of banned adverts, lack of clinical evidence, and worst of all, The Pink Patch seem to offer one of the Free Trial Scams we hate most!

Here is what we found out about the Pink Patch

  1. In 2008, The Pink Patch's advert claiming to “drop a stone in two weeks” was banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. They issued the following statement: “The evidence did not persuade us that wearing The Pink Patch would result in a loss of body fat and we concluded that the claim ‘drop a stone in two weeks' was unsubstantiated and could mislead.”
  2. The Pink Patch can provide no clinical evidence that their product works.
  3. The dreaded Free Trial Scam. The internet is awash of reports from angry dieters who signed up for a free trial of The Pink Patch in good faith and found their accounts being debited each month and finding it extremely difficult to cancel. In fact, their website offers no option to just buy one pack, the only way to try the pink patch is to hand over your card details for their “Free Trial”.
  4. Worryingly, the UK Pink Patch website is no longer selling the product.

The Verdict

We were intrigued by the idea of a weight loss patch, with mounting evidence that patches can help you absorb more of the key ingredient than diet pills can. But we simply cannot endorse a product that is not clinically approved and could result in people being tied to a monthly payment when they only wanted to try one box.

Best Pink Patch Alternative

We mentioned that weight loss patches can have benefits over pills for certain people. For example, if you find it difficult to swallow pills, forget to take pills at regular intervals, or simply want an easy solution to weight loss.

We looked around to see if we could find the best weight loss patch on the market, and think we have found it! It is clinically proven, allows you to buy as many or as few packs as you like, and gives a whopping 60 day guarantee.
